Jan Ralph Y. Perez
Jan Ralph Y. Perez graduated with a Bachelor in Science in Accountancy from the University of San Carlos in 2000 and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the same year. He was a consistent Dean’s Lister during his undergraduate years and was the editor-in-chief of the college publication.
He worked temporarily with the Punongbayan & Araullo Accounting Firm before joining Equitable PCI Bank on 2001, assigned to its Cebu branch. He subsequently quit his work with the bank to study law at the University of San Carlos where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws on 2005 and passed the Bar Examinations in the same year.
Prior to his graduation from law, Atty. Perez spent his legal internship devoted to corporate law practice, first at the Aboitiz Inc. Group of Companies Legal and Corporate Division, where he worked on various corporate projects such as due diligence compliance, and coordination of a general organizational meeting of the Aboitiz Inc. stockholders. Afterwards, he was an intern of the Sycip, Salazar, Hernandez & Gatmaitan Law Office, the country’s leading corporate law firm, where he was assigned to extensive legal research, as well as participation in various special corporate projects involving specialized companies in the I.T., education, environmental, sports and various other industries.
From the years 2003 to 2004, Atty. Perez taught various subjects in the University of San Carlos College of Commerce, such as taxation, auditing, intermediate accounting and cost accounting. He quit on 2004, when he was employed with the Jose Clavano Inc. group of companies, overseeing its printing, real estate and automobile repair divisions as the Head of Accounting and Administration.
Atty. Perez joined the Firm on 2005 as an associate and is currently assigned to handle its various corporate projects, where he is currently involved with clients from the I.T., education, and medical tourism industries, as well as in civil, labor and criminal case litigation.
